Arts Award can be achieved at five levels, four qualifications and an introductory level. Arts Award inspires young people to grow their arts and leadership talents: it's creative, valuable and accessible.
Arts Award is managed by Trinity College London in association with Arts Council England.
Arts Award is a personal learning programme which develops and assesses both arts-related and transferable skills, such as creativity, communication, planning and teamwork:
- young people aged up to 25 can achieve Arts Awards
- Explore, Bronze, Silver and Gold levels are recognised as Entry Level 3 and Levels 1, 2 and 3 on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF)*
- the Gold Arts Award is recognised on the UCAS tariff system
The Arts Award is not equal in size to GCSE or A-Level but young people are working and are assess at comparable standards

Bronze Award (Level 1)
To achieve Bronze, a Level 1 award on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), young people take part in an arts activity they enjoy, go to an arts event, research their arts inspiration and share their skills with others. Bronze is available to young people aged 11 to 25.
Young people need to plan their work with an adviser, and keep a record by creating their own Arts Award portfolio. Their portfolio might be a folder, sketchbook, video diary or a website – it’s up to them.

- PART B - Take Part An Arts Event.
- PART C - Research their arts inspiration.
- PART D - Share their skills with others.

When planning your Arts Award delivery, you'll need to be aware of the core costs. These cover the essential training, material and moderation costs required.
The costs involved in providing opportunities for young people to complete the award vary greatly depending on the level, art form and setting.
